Carla Rochelle WashingtonHomegoing services for Carla Rochelle Haney, lovingly known to all as “Rhonda,” were held Saturday June. 20, 2020 at 1 O’clock p.m. at the Ministerial Institute, 1329 Front Street, Eudora, Arkansas. Pastor Albert Jones, officiating and Lady Dian Jones, mistress of ceremony.

Rochelle was born the second child of Robert and Elnora Haney on July 11, 1971. She transitioned, giving her soul to God on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Chicot Memorial Medical Center in Lake Village, Arkansas.

Carla confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with Jericho Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. Albert L. Jones.

Carla attended Eudora Public Schools, graduating with the Eudora High School Class of 1989. ” Afterwards, she married her childhood sweetheart, Darnell Washington, on December 24, 1989.  To this union was born two beautiful daughters.


Carla worked in healthcare until her health failed.  She loved her family with her whole entire being. She also loved taking pictures, and shopping. It was her best hobby.

Carla was preceded in death by her mother, Elnora Haney, her father, Robert Haney, and a brother, Norris Haney.

Carla’s cherished memories will always be embedded in the hearts of the loved ones she leaves behind: her husband, Darnell; two daughters, Darkiea and and Tierney Washington of Eudora, AR; two sisters, Debra Wooten of St. Louis, MO and Barbara Landers (Sam) of Eudora, AR; two god sisters, Danielle Gonzalez of Dallas, TX and Faydra (Montgomery) Butler of Pine Bluff, AR; a special cousin/sister, Dorothy Brown of Eudora, AR; two aunt, Berna Thomas and Betty Thomas, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friend.
